Photonis USA Pennsylvania, Inc. Appoints Larry J. Stack as President and CEO of Photonis USA
Lancaster, PA (USA) – Photonis USA Pennsylvania, Inc. has announced that Larry J. Stack has been appointed as President and CEO of Photonis USA. Mr. Stack has been the Executive Director for Strategic Business Development for Photonis since joining the company in 2016. He will replace Mr. Gregory (Gregg) W. Bell, who announced he would be leaving the company in early 2018.
Mr. Stack brings to Photonis nearly twenty years of business management experience and defense expertise, focusing particularly on C4ISR high‐tech solutions for readiness and defense. Prior to joining Photonis, Mr. Stack was Managing Partner of Blackkatz Solutions, an Internet Technology and defense‐focused consulting company addressing a wide range of infrastructure concerns, including transportation networks, electronic warfare, WMD defense and CBRN preparedness.
He has previously served as President at a number of companies, including CBI Polymers, Triton Services, Inc., and Emediat Solutions and is active in a number of military organizations, including AUSA, AFCEA, AOC, and the U.S. Marine Corps Association and Foundation.
Photonis USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Photonis Technologies SAS (France), and is comprised of Photonis USA Pennsylvania, Inc., with a headquarters in Lancaster, PA and Photonis USA, Inc., with a facility in Sturbridge, MA. Photonis USA operates under an SSA in order to fulfill its U.S. defense contract obligations while under foreign ownership, as required by U.S. Law. In his new role as President of Photonis USA, Mr. Stack will also serve on the board of directors for the company.
Mr. Stack is a 25‐year U.S. Navy veteran, retiring with the rank of Captain in 2000. During his Navy tenure, he flew dozens of combat missions and commanded an electronic attack squadron. His distinguished Naval career also included work as Director at the DoD Inspector General’s Office and in C4ISR Architectures and Experimentation for the Chief of Naval Operations N6 Division. Mr. Stack holds two MS Degrees, one from the University of Southern California and one from the Naval War College. Mr. Stack resides in Myrtle Beach, SC with his wife Joy, and the couple has four children.
